Contact forms

If you fill out a contact form, your data is assembled into an email. This email is send to Lighthouse Haven to inform it of your request. Your data are not stored.

Appointments

If you make an appointment with Lighthouse Haven, your name, email address and phone number are stored to be able to contact you about your appointment. On your request, the appointment data will be deleted after your visit.

Email subscriptions

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address are stored, so we can send you personalised email messages.

Testimonials

If you write a testimonial, your name and email address are stored, so we can reach you in case we have a question about your testimonial. Only your name is visible to the public in the context of your testimonial.

Payments

If you make a payment on our website, your name, email address and bankaccount number are stored, so we can check your payment status and are able to refund in case of a dispute.

Registration

If you register on our website, we store your personal information you provide us in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information yourself. Your data are used for user related services.

We also store your membership level, so we can grant you access to protected content on our website.

Comments

If you leave comments on our site we store the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This spam detection is performed by an external service called “Akismet”.

Your data is also stored so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Our hosting provider uses the latest technology to protect its servers and services.

As soon as we notice our website is hacked, we will restore a previous version. Our website is backed up every day.

Then we will inform all registered users about this incident and require each of them to change their password.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

No personal data is used for decision making and/or profiling. Only anonymous data may be used for these purposes.
